According to an official security advisory issued by the U.S. Mission to the United Arab Emirates, individuals with appointments during this period should not visit either diplomatic office. Those affected will be contacted directly with rescheduling information.

Advice for U.S. Citizens

American citizens scheduled to receive consular services during the affected dates are advised to wait for further communication from embassy officials rather than traveling to the embassy or consulate.

The advisory emphasizes that the temporary suspension is a precautionary measure in light of the current regional security environment.

Emergency Assistance Still Available

Although routine appointments have been canceled, the U.S. Mission continues to provide limited emergency consular support. The embassy and consulate remain under ordered departure status, meaning nonessential U.S. government personnel have been relocated outside the UAE.

U.S. citizens who urgently require services such as emergency passports or other critical assistance should submit their request through the U.S. Citizen Services Navigator. Embassy staff will then provide instructions by email.

Visa Processing Remains on Hold

The embassy has also confirmed that routine U.S. visa services in the UAE remain suspended until further notice. Travelers planning to apply for visas should monitor official embassy announcements for updates on when normal operations resume.
